Markdown Editor plugin for Eclipse
Markdown is a plain text formatting syntax for writers. It allows you to quickly write structured content for the web, and have it seamlessly converted to clean, structured HTML. It follows the same syntax as regular Markdown code blocks, with ways to tell the highlighter what language to use for the code block. The language will be detected automatically, if possible. To install, use Eclipse's Software Updates mechanism (Help > Install New Software) with the URL: http://winterwell.com/software/updatesite/

Alternatively, you can download the required files - which are just plugins/winterwell.markdown_0.2.3.jar and features/markdown.editor.feature_0.2.3.jar - and copy them intothe plugins and features directories in your Eclipse installation.

Setup
Once installed, the plugin provides you with a new editor for .md files.You will probably also want to set it as the editor for .txt files.To do this, go to Preferences->Editor->File Associations. Selectthe file type '*.txt' and add the Markdown Editor as the default editor. You can also use it for other files by right-clicking on the fileand going through the 'open with' sub menu.Features
